Inspired by the Wassily Chair, also known as the Model B3, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 at the Bauhaus. One of the first chairs ever made from tubular steel, the Wassily was a radical reimagining of what a chair could be, its geometric frame and suspended leather slings reducing the form to its purest structural elements. Named in honour of painter Wassily Kandinsky, it remains one of the most influential designs in the history of modern furniture.

My designs are for the maximalists, the romantics, the bold souls who believe a home should feel like something. The ones who walk into a room and think the walls look a little too quiet, surely we can do better than that.

I have always been drawn to art with feeling, work that pulls you in, holds your attention and makes a space feel lived-in and loved. The Chair was Looking for Trouble does exactly that.
